Well, I haven't really progressed on anything since last post. Have gotten stuck working at the north end which means walking to work and home again, as well as lunch on the floor so no knitting time. This totally sucks. Especially since I had to rip back 3/4 of Shannon's present because it just wasn't what I wanted. And I still need to get the sweater for Aisling's baby done and sent off. She's only due the 18th of this month!
In more exciting news, dance registration night is this coming Monday (8th)! Yeah! Although my class is moving to Tuesdays and I'm not sure how I'm going to make it there on time when I get off work at 6p, and class is (supposedly) at 6:30p. Coming from the south-end the bus will leave downtown at 6:35p; coming from the north-end, I miss the 5:55p so not sure when the next one comes... Not overly thrilled about this move to Tuesdays/time change. Hoping that things can get shifted to say 7p. Then I can at least be there on time!
No new pictures to put up. Weather has straightened out but the screwy working conditions are getting to me. Heck, I'm behind writing to my penpals! Need to catch up this weekend.
That's it.

P.S. Is anyone reading this? From anywhere? Let me know!
This is my blog on all things knitting and I just know the kitties are going to pop up every now and again, so I'll just warn people to begin with!

An Ah-ha Moment...
I finally had one! Have determined the projects for both Shannon and Heather's birhtday presents! Hooray!
Dance registration night is only 2 weeks away! Where did summer go?
The sheepys on my shawl are behaving much better; still may need to find a shepherd or sheep-dog pattern to keep them in line!
Missed an auspicious event: JAY TURNED 30 ON AUGUST 14TH!!! (And you thought I forgot!)
That's it for today; too hot for any more.

How Did I Mess Up my Shawl?...
So, had to go out to the evil EastEnd of the city today. And of course since that involves a bus ride, I took along my green shawl to work on. (I had to go all the way to Michael's for waste canvas! Gale's doesn't have it; WalMart quit carrying it. I really hate that Canadiana closed; I can't find half my stuff anymore!) So, am on the bus and finish up a WSR (all K) and start working on row2 of my little sheepy friends, when I come to a spot of too many sts between sheepys. Easy fix: dec an extra st. Continuing on... wait a second! There's not enough room for this sheep's head... What have I done? Upon actually looking at the shawl (this is oh so helpful), my sheepy friends are apparently playing games with me: 1 sheep had only 10 sts for her back (the others have 12), another is feuding(?) with her neighbor as they're 9 sts apart instead of 5. Now I get to tink back 2 1/2 rows of garter st based lace to get back to the first renegade sheep and put my flock back to rights.
Still no clue what I'm doing for Shannon's and Heather's birthday giftys.

Closer View of letter 'H'
Here's a closer (and clearer) view of one of the letters. I'm leaving the backstitching until the end, so that'll let the little sheepys stand out better as well.
Alphabet Update
Weather cooled off enough to get some stitching done. Have decided to take off the "hedge" and will figure out something different once the piece is done.

Recent Celebrations
I would be remiss if I didn't take time to mention the numerous happy events that have occured lately. July 30th was Buddy's 3rd anniversary with us! August 4th was Maureen's 10th anniversary! And last, but by no means least, we celebrated 18 years of Eddie on August 6th!! We are celebrated out!

Nat's Hat is done!
Here it is! Got it done on Wednesday. I think it looks pretty good. Actually really good, considering I dislike doing colorwork of the stranded variety. Now to figure out what to do for Shannon and Heather...
